49. Phillip Island, the great escape (2021)

We often travel to country Victoria, and in particularly Phillip Island and South Gippsland. I would have never thought that a two hour drive from St Kilda would become such a significant event for most of 2020 and 2021.

We love Phillip Island, in summer, in winter, whenever, a beautiful little island with great waterfronts, beaches and bio diversity. Not so taken by buildings nor homes, there is nothing charming about them, if not the opposite. Yet, nature provides an effective antidote to the mediocrity of its local architecture. Beautiful flora, fauna and waterfronts full of drama as Cape Woolamai or tranquillity as Silverleaves.

Back in 2021, as regaining freedom, we had the fortune to drive back to the Island, the Great Escape indeed!
